Learn valuable insights about chemical-free living to enhance your wellness journey. GMW (Gathered Natural Wellness) shares practical tips on embracing natural choices and improving your lifestyle sustainably.
Reduce long term health issues, by limiting exposure can decrease these risks.
Better indoor air quality. Try using air filtration and avoid using household products with chemicals.
Fewer skin irritations and allergies. Using the air filtration would help. synthetic dyes and fragrances and conventional personal care products can cause skin irritation and allergic reactions.
Enhance your nutrition intake: This is a major game changer for me. Choose non toxic products. Not only is that good for your body, but you recue the release of harmful chemicals into the environment and support sustainable practices.
Transition to non-toxic living is a journey of small manageable steps.
Choose clean, whole, fresh organic foods to reduce exposure to pesticides.
Avoid plastic containers and wraps. Take your bag to the store.
Storage glass and stainless steel or ceramic.
Use safe cookware. Ditch your nonstick pans coated with PTFE, which have been linked to health problems. Choose safer options like cast iron, stainless steel, or glass.
Filter your water. Whether through a refrigerator or install a filtration under your sink. This will remove harmful contaminants from your drinking water.
Cleaning and home maintenance:
Common pantry items like white vinegar, baking soda and essential oils and non-toxic cleaning products.
Avoid synthetic fragrances and scented candles which release VOCs and other harmful chemicals. Alternative is a beeswax candle or open windows (depending on where your live-I am in Florida where air quality is not great).
Improve indoor air. Use spider plants, snake plants to help filter the air. Activated charcoal bags are also effective at absorbing toxins.
Personal Care:
Read labels carefully. look for non-toxic, organic or natural and clean ingredients.
Harmful ingredients on labels avoid: Parabens, Phthalates and Sulfates.
Clothing choice if possible, opt for natural fibers like organic cotton, linen and hemp.
The importance of mindset:
Start small - you do not have to overhaul your whole lifestyle.
Focus on progress and educate yourself with small steps.
Good luck with all and remember education, small steps and most of all laugh, live and stay healthy.
