The Core of Holistic Wellness

"This all makes sense to me, after doing much research over the years, on why I had allergies, why my mood was not good, why I could not focus or remember anything from yesterday. Nutrition for me was key. Removing chemicals from my life and providing my body with the clean, organic and natural nutrition was indeed the solution. My allergies went away. I felt clear minded. My family and my husband are my biggest supporters and make my life whole. Here are some of my thoughts today on Holistic Wellness which for me is a healthy body in turn."

Treating the whole body, mind, spirit, and emotions.......

Recognizing these aspects are connected. Instead of focusing only on the symptoms and treating with a band aid, look for balance across all the areas to address the 'root cause' of illness and personalize strategies for treatment of self-care.

Holistic Wellness Approach:

  • Understand that mind and body are tied together. Imbalance in one area, such as chronic stress (mental), can negatively affect others, like physical health.

  • Consider your lifestyle, behaviors, environment, and social circumstances in addition to your physical symptoms.

  • Root cause and treatment. Identify and address the underlying issues that contribute to illness, rather than providing a temporary symptom relief (band aid).

Holistic Wellness Components:

  • Physical Health. We keep a healthy body by clean, organic non processed nutrition, exercise (walking and steps count) and sleep (at least 7 hours).

  • Mental & Emotional Health. Ability to manage stress. Mental clarity (no brain fog) and emotional resilience.

  • Spiritual Wellness. Finding purpose, meaning and a connection to something greater than oneself. (Mine is my husband and family and literally anyone that reaches out).

  • Social Wellness. Building strong, supportive relationships and sense of community.
